slowing and waiting

Thanks to the loan of a wheel chair I got to see the sea today. It was windy and cloudy and cold but it was the sea.
And I ate ice cream.

We are still waiting to hear dates and treatment. The longer it takes to hear the more I can ignore it is happening. But I don't want to be waiting, I want to be through the other side. We're noticing I'm getting slower. It's harder to find the words I need to come out of my mouth and for them to get out. Having a shower this morning seemed to take forever. I had to focus so hard on what to do. Right Ruth, you've stepped in the shower, somehow it has to get wet. How do you do that again. I'm not sure if it's the way the tumour is sitting in my brain, or reactions to some of the drugs, or lack of sleep, or combinations. Earlier today I couldn't manage to be in a room where there was one conversation happening and I wasn't even part of that conversation I was just sat in the corner. I'm not finding that easy. I want to be able to do lots of things coz I'm imagining that once my brains been cut open there will be a period of time I will be able to do even less than I can now do it feels unfair that I'm losing ability to do now. I must try to enjoy the littles I can cope with now

    It's good to see the sea.
    Don't try to be too nice to the Dr's Ruthie. If you think they need to be doing something sooner than they are then do contact them or get Mark to. If they don't know things are changing for you then they won't necessarily see the need to change meds or treatment.
    Save your energy for the things you want to do.

    Glad you got to see the sea ☺️ and Also look's like the sun was out.

    I totally agree with Michelle contact the doctor's or if you have a direct line to the department that you are under at the hospital and let them know especially if things are changing or your not sure on how you feel.
    If you don't mention it they won't know.

Stats

 looking at the stats of how many people have visited our blog (BECAUSE I am that egotistical!) it would appear that people are expecting an update (we can't see whose been for a look, just how many people) So at long last here it is. I'm trying to think of what we've done since either of us last wrote. We had a hospital appointment last week, and sadly found out that the remaining tumours have grown. Apparently this means there is no point carrying on with the treatment as if it hadn't started to work by now it's not going to and I was having the full whack I could for the kind of tumour. So it took time to get released from hospital (again) bit we got there and I'm now home and in bed. I can't fault any of the staff at Addenbrookes, they were all great but they were very understaffed and had things they had to be doing so I understand when breakfast either comes really lateor doesn't come at all and when it takes an hour to get a letter printed. They were all really caring and wanted the best fit each of their patients and whether hard for the best for each of their patients. We arrived back in time for Mark to pick Zeb up from Beavers which was a weight off marks mind as he does with about being late. Add I've now had my hug and am in bed smelling sausages cooking as Mark makes his tea, going there might be enough sausage left for a sandwich for breakfast. I did tell them as I left addenbrookes that if I had to stay in hospital again I'd like to stay in Ipswich coz it makes it much easier for us for visitors and having things brought in. All main l

Aroma

 I'm typing this in my phone n the dark sat in smalls room waiting for him to go to sleep, so expect lots of mistakes living with boys there are plenty of those around here but that's not what I'm in here to talk about. One of my favourite parts of getting ready in the morning is putting a small squirt of perfume on, mostly because I know that the next thing that is likely to happen is small boy give me a hug goodbye And i know that some of the smell will transfer to him so he carries me with him throughout the day.
