tissue hospital appointment

So we had another appointment with the consultant at Ipswich hospital and the brain tumour nurse specialist. They confirmed that the plan for my ongoing treatment is x-ray therapy and chemotherapy both for 30 days will be every week day for that period of time just on week days starting in the new year. For the x-ray therapy I will have my own mask that will direct the rays to the remaining bits of tumour to kill them off. The chemo will be a tableta day. These treatments will of course come with side effects, that I'm not looking forward to but the treatment is needed to get me fully well again. The job for now is to get myself as fit as possible so that my body is best set for the treatment as it can be. While we were at the hospital we were also shown to the cancer support center. It is a great centre. We have been able to borrow some books for Zeb to help him understand me what is going on and we've been referred to the family support person who will come and spend time supporting us as a family and cash spend time just with Zeb and visit him at school so that he has someone else to talk to etc. He is coping incredibly well, largely due to the fabulous support he has via family and school but a little extra support from the specialists can't harm we feel. We continue to try and have good family times, last night we went to Felixstowe after school and had fish and chips tonight the boys have gone to a family games night, I just felt too tired to go out so I'm sst in bed in my pyjamas watching was steberrs writing this. We know we have each other and that we have God and that we have all our wonderful friends and family. We have been lent a bath stool and bought some temporary grab rails so I can safely have a shower before we get the bathroom done. I can't wait! It's been a while since I've had a shower, a sink wash only goes so far. We are so grateful for everyone's generosity from liens or things like bath stools, Monday that turns up in our bank account thanks to many people's generosity, my lunch turning up each day as lovely people from church deliver it. They're is so much kindness out there. So that's the plan going forward, we just need to be patient and wait for the new year and work on wellness between now and then and keep looking for the kindness and God in it all

Stats

 looking at the stats of how many people have visited our blog (BECAUSE I am that egotistical!) it would appear that people are expecting an update (we can't see whose been for a look, just how many people) So at long last here it is. I'm trying to think of what we've done since either of us last wrote. We had a hospital appointment last week, and sadly found out that the remaining tumours have grown. Apparently this means there is no point carrying on with the treatment as if it hadn't started to work by now it's not going to and I was having the full whack I could for the kind of tumour. So it took time to get released from hospital (again) bit we got there and I'm now home and in bed. I can't fault any of the staff at Addenbrookes, they were all great but they were very understaffed and had things they had to be doing so I understand when breakfast either comes really lateor doesn't come at all and when it takes an hour to get a letter printed. They were all really caring and wanted the best fit each of their patients and whether hard for the best for each of their patients. We arrived back in time for Mark to pick Zeb up from Beavers which was a weight off marks mind as he does with about being late. Add I've now had my hug and am in bed smelling sausages cooking as Mark makes his tea, going there might be enough sausage left for a sandwich for breakfast. Aroma

 I'm typing this in my phone n the dark sat in smalls room waiting for him to go to sleep, so expect lots of mistakes living with boys there are plenty of those around here but that's not what I'm in here to talk about. One of my favourite parts of getting ready in the morning is putting a small squirt of perfume on, mostly because I know that the next thing that is likely to happen is small boy give me a hug goodbye And i know that some of the smell will transfer to him so he carries me with him throughout the day.
